2023 Contractor of the Year (CotY) Awards

Thinking of Applying to the CotY Awards? Check Out These Tips:

1. Create a presentation (max 30 pages) that outlines the project goals and highlights the transformation you achieved. 
   • Include architectural drawings, before and after photos (high-resolution and horizontal preferred) and any other relevant project information.
   • We have included some templates under our CotY Awards/Tools Tab to help you if you wish to use them!
      
2. Write a project summary in 100 words or less.
    
3. Complete and upload the Client-Contractor Agreement and Photo Release forms.
    
4. Submit your presentation, project summary, entry fee and additional supporting documents in the portal between June 12th to September 8th September 25th.

Additional rules and helpful info:  

• Who can enter: NARI members who have complete oversight of the remodeling project can enter the CotY awards. NARI Members who enter the award can add other NARI members that worked on the project as "Team Members." The entrant and the Team Members will all be equally recognized. 

• Fees:
  • Entrants pay $225 per entry.
  • Team Members pay $150 per entry.

• Dates:
  • Project Completion Dates:  Project must have been completed between 12/1/21 – 11/30/23.
  • Entry Period: June 12th, 2023- September 21st, 2023
  • The Charlotte CotY Awards & Evening of Excellence will be held November 10^th, 2023, at Founder’s Hall in Charlotte.

  • This competition is the Local Level of CotY’s.

    • To better reflect the project sizes in our specific market, the Charlotte chapter has made the following modifications for award distribution in these categories only:

  • Later this year and into 2024, you will be invited to enter at the Regional and National level of the competition, as well.  Their category listing is in this link:

• Judges: Our panel of Judges are NARI members from other chapters across the country. Judges follow a set of questions and criteria that is outlined in the following document.
